“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.”

A simple act of kindness can turn a bad day into a good day. Not just for the receiver, but also the giver. Compassion is the most powerful force in the world. It can defeat indifference, intolerance and injustice. It is able to replace judgment with acceptance because it makes no distinction between age, ethnicity, gender or disability. It freely embraces the rich diversity of humanity by treating everyone as equals.

A man worked in an ice making company. One day before the factory shut down, He went to the refrigeration room, and accidentally, the door got locked. It was holiday time and all the workers were leaving for their homes. Everyone was in a hurry and nobody paid much attention that someone was trapped inside. He understood that after two-three hours his body would freeze and he would die.

He began to remember God with a sincere heart, apologized for his deeds and pleaded Lord, if I have done any good work in my life for humanity and religion, then take me out of here. My wife would be waiting for me. I am the only one in this world to feed my family. I will remember this benevolence of yours lifelong and tears started rolling from his eyes.

An hour had passed that suddenly there was a noise in the freezer room. The watchman came running to open the door. He rescued the man and took him to the heater. After his condition recovered, he asked the watchman, how did you come in?

The watchman said that sir, I have been working here for 20 years. Hundreds of workers and officers come to the factory every day but you are one of the few people who smile and wish Ram Ram whenever you come and exit from the factory. And those words and your kind gesture removes all my day’s tiredness. And I always wait for you to come.

Today, like every day, I heard your greeting in the morning but in evening you didn’t come When it was too late, I went in search of you to check if you are fine or caught in any problem. The man was surprised that today his life was saved due to a little act of kindness.

When it comes to kindness, the size of your wallet doesn’t matter, that’s because when it comes to giving, the size of your heart is the only thing that matters.
